Job Description
Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit in Hanford, California. This role is vital for providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients throughout labor and delivery, ensuring optimal care and safety.
- Provide support during the labor process, including administering medications and pain relief options.
- Collaborate with obstetricians and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized birth plans.
- Circulate and recover patients in the operating room as needed for cesarean sections.
- Float to postpartum couplet care to provide comprehensive care to mothers and their newborns.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Minimum of [insert years] years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred.
- Certifications required:
- AWHONN
- Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
