Position Title: Travel -Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient
Location: St. Helena, CA, USA
Shift: 5 x 8s (Monday - Friday; shifts scheduled between 5:30 AM and 6:30 PM or until patient care is complete)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Salary Range: $40 - $50 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Outpatient team in St. Helena, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outpatient surgery, including preoperative and postoperative care. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures.
- Conduct preoperative assessments, including gathering medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Educate patients and their families on preoperative and postoperative care instructions.
- Monitor patients during recovery, assessing vital signs and ensuring comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for any adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in the state of California.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in outpatient surgery or similar setting required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
