Shift: Night (12 hours) - 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM
Duration: 13 weeks (Contract) / 36 hours/week

Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NNICU) in Walnut Creek, CA. This role is essential for providing high-quality care to Level III neonates in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Level III neonates with various conditions such as prematurity, respiratory distress, and postoperative needs.
- Admit NICU patients and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Perform assessments, interventions, and documentation accurately in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and provide necessary interventions to stabilize patients.
- Educate families on the care and needs of their infants in the NICU.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both patients and families.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NNICU).
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid and unrestricted California RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Preferred Certifications: High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV) experience preferred.
- Experience with EPIC EMR is a plus.

Additional Information
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 to 1:4 based on patient acuity.
- Orientation: 3 to 4 days of orientation provided.
- Self-Scheduling: Travelers will participate in self-scheduling after initial placement.
- Weekend Requirement: Must work 4 weekend shifts per schedule period (4 weeks).
- Holiday Requirement: Must be available for 2 out of 3 major winter holidays and 2 out of 3 summer holidays.
*Travel nurses not expected to attend deliveries in Labor and Delivery. **Travel nurses are expected to admit NICU patients. ***Cannot ask for time off over Christmas.
